| Description | Common dodder. Parasitic, twining vine with bright orange stems and creamy white flowers. Growing primarily on ironweed (Vernonia) but a few stems twining over onto some Lespedeza. One individual twining on plants growing along the edge of a pond. (This is a typical habitat for dodder.) |
