Locality United States. Tennessee, Shelby: Approximately 20 ft from an unpaved trail in the Old Growth Forest, near a concrete structure (a small bridge of some sort); somewhat shady due to nearby trees, but sunlight does break through. Low elevation area, likely near a drainage area.
Description Small herbaceous wildflower; perennial. Stem and leaves (green) have hooked trichomes; very sticky. Leaves occur in whorls of 4-7 (most often 6); narrow, rounded tip, longest leaves 3-4 cm. Tiny white flowers, 4 petals, 4 stamens, bisexual.
