Habitat:Height: About 20 feet. Leaves: linear, 2 ranked, light green, delicate, deciduous along with a portion of the branch. Flowers: monoecious, both kinds on same branch. Fruits: globular, closed, composed of peltate scales. Tree native of western Ky. and southward in swamps; planted here for ornament.
