Habitat:In a NNW mesic hardwood-hemlock ravine traversed by Grant House Creek and conglomeratic sandstone blocks; rare. Associates: Viola sororia, Polygonatum biflorum, Trillium sessile, Arisaema triphyllum, Hepatica acutiloba, Smilacina racemosa.
