Habitat: | Edge of wildflower plot and shoulder side ditch. Tufted annual with red roots, crowded leaves and several involucral bracts. Spikelets 3-12 x 1.0-1.5 mm on keeded red-brown sides; infrequent. Associates: Festuca elatior, Paspalum laeve, Setaria faberi. |
