Locality:United States. Tennessee. Knox: House Mountain State Natural Area, 0.7 mi SW on Hogskin Road form junction of Idumea Road with Brice Branch, then 0.6 m SE to Rutledge Pike (US 11 W7TN 1), ca. 1.2 mi SW to Skaggston, and ca. 9.0 mi from I-40 W, Knoxville.
Habitat:Mixed mesophytic forest, edge of natural area by entrance sign off Hogskin Road; introduced from Europe; locally rare, a single clump of 25-30 yellow stems. Associates: Cardamine hirsuta, Festuca elatior, Carex sppp., Stellaria media, Lonicera japonica, Carya ovata, Pinus virginiana.
