Locality: | United States. Tennessee. Shelby: Approximately 5 ft from an unpaved trail in the Old Growth Forest; somewhat shady due to nearby trees, but sunlight does break through. A fairly flat area. |
Description: | Woody shrub slightly under 2m tall. Foliage not particularly dense. Leaves pinnately composite, opposite (90° rotation between each pair). Inflorescence pink/red. Flowers strongly zygomorphic. Approximately 5 ft from an unpaved trail in the Old Growth Forest; somewhat shady due to nearby trees, but sunlight does break through. A fairly flat area. |
