Locality:United States. Tennessee. Putnam: Head into the woods for about 165 yards on the right side of the trial. Cross the creek and go another 20 yards up the hill side and look for the briar thicket, and go to the right of it and you will find the patch. 36° 07' 48" N, 85° 26' 24" W
Description:Green leathery leaves, they stand 6-10 inches tall. With the buds at the ground like basal leaves. 
Habitat:The soil in this area is loose. Along with being in a shady area.
