Habitat: | cherty acidic ridge, with Quercus prinus, red oaks, Lamia, Ocydendrum; tree 30-40 ft x 4-5' dbh, and a fruit-producer. (fruit collected 3 Oct 1992, apparently prematurely shed). or perhaps lacking a pollen exchanger and thus the fruit poorly developed |
